Reflective film is designed for application onto aluminum blanks used in vehicle license plates. It ensures reliable bonding to the substrate, a high coefficient of light reflection, and consistent performance throughout the service life of the license plate.

Film Construction

The film features a dual-layer structure optimized for industrial production:

• Base layer: retroreflective PVC film with acrylic adhesive coating on the inner side;
• Protective liner: polyethylene-coated paper to preserve adhesive properties during transportation and storage.

The high-quality acrylic adhesive ensures strong bonding to both lacquered aluminum and mill-finish aluminum. This minimizes the risk of delamination, bubbling, or deformation during operation and subsequent technological processes such as embossing, thermal transfer coloring, or UV printing.

Technical Specifications

• Material type: retroreflective PVC film with acrylic adhesive
• Film thickness: 170–175 μm (without protective paper)
• Coefficient of reflection: 70 at 5° observation angle
• Application temperature to the aluminum strip:

      ○ 15°C — for flat plates

      ○ 25°C — for plates with an embossed rim

      ○ 38°C — maximum application temperature
